Where we ship in Los Angeles
We ship LA sets to Downtown and Koreatown, Hollywood and Silver Lake, Venice and the Westside, the Valley from Van Nuys to Encino, and South LA and San Pedro. We also ship to Santa Monica, Pasadena, Glendale and Burbank, which have their own building departments, so the LADBS rules on this page don’t apply there.
What LADBS asks for
The Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) offers electronic plan review through ePlanLA and in-person routes such as counter plan check. Quoted from the LADBS Plan Review & Permitting page and its ADU/JADU/MTH correction sheet (PC/STR/Corr.Lst.20A):

What that means for your order:
- Check the number your plan checker circled (one, two or three sets) and order that many copies of the full set.
- Black line on white bond meets the line-quality note. Our black and white prints are black line on white 20 lb bond at $1.95 a sheet.
- Stay at 36×48 or smaller. Every size we print, 17×22 through 36×48, is within LADBS’s maximum.
- Keep lettering legible. LADBS sets a minimum 1/8″ lettering size, so print at the drawn size rather than shrinking the sheet.
- ePlanLA job? Then you print after approval, for the site.

Plans print on white 20 lb bond as uploaded. LADBS and your designer decide the number of sets and what’s filed, so confirm with them first.
