Most plan printers price by sheet size: a small sheet costs less, a large sheet costs more, and some shops bill by square foot. That makes a full-size bid set hard to estimate until you know every page size.

Flat rate vs typical per-size pricing
A per-size shop usually publishes a ladder of prices: ARCH C (18×24) is the low end, ARCH D (24×36) sits in the middle, and ARCH E (36×48) is the high end—or the quote is built from square footage. Either way, choosing a larger sheet raises the print line even when the drawing content is the same.
Our flat rate removes that ladder. The sheet size you pick at checkout changes how big the print is, not what you pay per sheet.

Example totals at our flat rate
Printing only (shipping chosen at checkout):
- 20-sheet B&W set (all sizes, 18×24 to 36×48): 20 × $1.95 = $39.00. With WELCOME20 on a first order: $31.20.
- 40-sheet B&W set: 40 × $1.95 = $78.00.
- 20-sheet mixed set (16 B&W + 4 color): (16 × $1.95) + (4 × $3.75) = $46.20.
- Same 20 sheets at 36×48 instead of 18×24: still $39.00 B&W—the size upgrade does not add print cost.
That last point is the whole idea: under per-size or per-square-foot pricing, moving a set from half-size to full-size usually costs more. Under our flat rate it doesn’t.
When flat rate helps most
- Full-size permit and bid sets where every sheet is 24×36 or larger.
- Mixed-size jobs (some 18×24 reference sheets, some full-size sheets) that would otherwise need two price tiers.
- Quick estimates: sheets × $1.95 or $3.75 is the print total before shipping.

What is flat-rate blueprint printing?
Flat-rate means every sheet costs the same no matter the size. At Print My Plans that is $1.95 black & white or $3.75 color for 18×24, 24×36, 30×42, 36×46, and 36×48.
How is that different from per-size pricing?
Many print shops charge less for smaller sheets and more for larger ones, or price by square foot. With a flat rate, a 36×48 sheet costs the same as an 18×24 sheet, so upgrading the size does not raise the print line.
How much does a full set cost at the flat rate?
Multiply sheets by $1.95 (B&W) or $3.75 (color). A 20-sheet B&W set is $39.00 for printing, the same at all sizes (18×24 to 36×48); a 40-sheet B&W set is $78.00. Shipping is chosen at checkout.
