File Requirements for Plan Printing

We print to scale from your PDF, exactly as uploaded. Follow these tips so your sheets come out right the first time.

Accepted format: We print from PDF files. Need to print from another file type? Email us at support@printmyplans.com.

Sizes: 18×24, 24×36 (ARCH D), 30×42, 36×46, 36×48, each in black & white ($1.95/page) or color ($3.75/page).

Getting an accurate scale

• Set the PDF page size to the sheet size you want (for example 24×36 in for ARCH D).
• Don’t use “fit to page” when exporting. Export at 100% / 1:1.
• Include a graphic scale bar so the field crew can verify the scale.

Quality tips

• Vector PDFs exported from CAD/BIM print crisper than scans.
• Embed all fonts.
• Very thin lines (under about 0.1 mm) may print faint.
• Combine your full set into one PDF, pages in order.
• Use B&W for standard sets; choose color when legends, markups, or color-coded trades matter.
