Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a blueprint and a plan?
Today they mean the same thing in everyday use: a printed construction drawing. True blueprints were an older blue-and-white printing process.
What’s the difference between ARCH and ANSI sizes?
ARCH sizes (like 24×36) are used for architectural drawings; ANSI sizes (like 22×34) for engineering drawings.
What is a half-size set?
A set printed at half the original dimensions, for example 12×18 from 24×36. It can’t be scaled as drawn.
