Large-Format Printing
“Large format” or “wide format” usually means anything bigger than a desktop printer can handle, roughly beyond 11 × 17 inches. Print My Plans prints wide-format plan sheets from PDF. The sizes below can be ordered online with instant pricing. If you need something else, email us and we’ll tell you whether we can help.

Which standard size fits your job?
- 18 × 24 (ARCH C): compact and easy to handle. Good for small projects, field sets and quick-reference sheets.
- 24 × 36 (ARCH D): the most common full-size sheet for architectural and construction sets.
- 30 × 42 (ARCH E1): more room for large floor plates, civil and site work, and detailed commercial sheets.
- 36 × 48 (ARCH E): the largest size we offer online. Good for large site plans and detailed sheets.
The size you order should match the page size of your PDF so the drawing prints to scale. If your file uses ANSI engineering sizes (for example, 22 × 34), read ARCH vs ANSI sheet sizes first.

Preparing large-format files
Large prints show every flaw in a file. A few checks help:
- Vector is best. CAD and vector PDFs stay sharp at every sheet size. Raster images and scans need enough resolution for the printed size, or they’ll look soft or pixelated.
- Set the page size to the finished size. Avoid relying on scaling at print time.
- Keep important content away from the edges. Leave a margin around title blocks and borders.
- Check thin lines and small text at 100% zoom before you upload.
The full checklist is in how to prepare a PDF plan set for printing.
Shipping large prints
Wide-format prints are rolled and shipped in protective tubes, to protect the edges, and every shipment has tracking. Choose your shipping speed at checkout; the rate is shown before you pay. See our shipping page.
